Old oud (unknown maker)


I would like to share with you this old oud(uknown maker)I think it is made around 1940-1950!
-bowl:49.5cm X35.5cm .17ribs of alternate walnut&Oak.
-Stringlength:60cm.
-A new model of big rosette.

does anyone see an oud alike!

Looks like a nice oud. What do you think of its sound? What kind of stings you put on the oud? There is no label inside?

It is a nice oud I bought it as a Nahat but it isn’t a Nahat oud as there is a fake label for George Nahat inside. the sound is Arabic , old and “Rakhim” the strings are D’Addario.

I just realized the 4 small sound "triangles" surrounding the main soundhole. Interesting, Ive never seen that.

'Rakhim" means sweet-sounding,melodious,tuneful
