Intermediate Level Oud - Suggestions?
Hi, I've just bought my first Oud, an Ali Khalif and sons, I think it's about 5 years old. As I understand it, from what I've read, it's ok as a
beginners instrument, but I've heard alot of negativity about build quality being erratic.
What I was wondering is, if anybody could recommend a really good Intermediate level Oud, I'm looking for an Arabic Oud, it doesn't have to be highly
ornate, I'm thinking more about sound, and particularly - good action and playability.
If you could put a rough estimate of the price (in £ or $ if poss), that'd be really helpful. I'm in the U.K. so if anyone here could recommend local
suppliers of strings and Oud makers that'd also be great. Many thanks - Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark. I would suggest a Sukar oud, Mr. Sukar makes great ouds.
