There are many owners of Faruk Turunz ouds on these forums. I am one of them. I originally contacted him via the internet and made my purchase without
meeting him or seeing his ouds. I first contacted him because of his reputation as one of the finest oud makers.
We communicated a great deal in order to identify my requirements and he made the oud for me.
I have since been to Istanbul and met him and he is a fine gentleman, as well as a great artist.
I would suggest you ask Mr Turunz in regard to your questions about french polish etc. He know more than anyone else the differences between a
finished face and a non-finished face on his ouds.
