The bridge issue is very important. Isn't it strange that the distance between Do bass and high Do is differet from oud to oud. My Kamil oud has 7 cm
distance, as well as my little new Moamed Haddad (unknown Sirian builder). Turkish ouds has this huge distance 8,5 cm.
It's kind a too much - 8,5cm or even 9 - like plaing the harp and not oud ;-)
I saw beautiful Farouk's 1000 $ Arabic oud, but I was surprised that the bridge was Turkish "distance" and not smaler - Arabic.
You have a few different ouds - so is it the same with your ouds - Arabc has less distance form Do-Do than Turkish?
Maybe there are Arabic ouds with large distance - I have newer seen one and I saw plenty of Arabic ouds.
I would like o lern more on this issue.
