Excellent playing on a very nice sounding and good looking oud. The youtube description says 'oud was specially designed for Arabic tuning'.
Dear Usta Faruk, could you share with us the specs on this oud; body size, scale, woods used, and is the oud recently made? teşekkür ederim MW

Dear Leon, Fadel, Ameer and Matthew,
Thank you for your good words :)

This oud was made of two alternating wood: Wenge and Indian Laurel

The body length is 495mm,
Width:355mm
String length: 585mm

The crucial specification of it is the bracing model:
I made the frequencies of the braces as follows:

Setting in order from the back:

1st brace frequency: 574.5 (Hz)
2nd : 443.9
3rd : 259.9
4th :516.5
5th :4126.7
6th :951.9
7th 1211.1

The braces with the above rated frequencies modify the rigidity of the central zones of the bracing lines as follows:

1st central zone: 449.7 (Hz)
2nd :341.7
3rd :252.4
4th :341.7
5th :449.7
6th :542.4
7th 636.00

Zonal Resonance Frequencıes (ZRF) were modified as:

1st ZRF : 391.99 Hz (G4)
2nd ZRF : 293.65 (D4)
3rd : 293.67 (D4)
4th : 391.99 (G4)
5th : 493.87 (B4)
6th : 587.33 (D5)

The overal thickness of the soundboard (Caucasian Spruce): 1.7mm

This oud was made just one year ago. It is still available :applause: Please see Serial number 09-4-20 on the Finished Ouds page on my website.

Thanks for asking Matthew :)

Kind regards,
Faruk
