Anyone experience with Tradeportal AliBaba?
Hello guys,
I was just wondering if anyone of you has made some experience in the past with trading on AliBaba (http://www.alibaba.com). I am about to buy my first oud and I've decided on getting an Sukar oud. There are some nice offers, offering Sukar ouds
from 400$ (almost every model). There are two things I am wondering about :
1. Which model to pick, since they are all at the same price level.
What exactly are the differences between the different Sukar models? Do they only differ in appearance or also in other properties?
2. Will the trade work out smoothly without having any problems such as fraud, cheating etc. (Maybe there is someone out there having more experience
on AliBaba than I do)

Yes, you're right. However, the supplier is shipping from Morocco. So it should work out smoothly. He told me that they have set up another shop since
they are facing some delays in Syria at the moment.
Have you made any experience with AliBaba? The supplier appears to be reliable. But still you never know.
Besides I am considering to buy either Model 201 or Model 1 or 6 (Sukar). Are there any remarkable differences between these model aside from the
marginal differences in their appeareance?
I'd be very happy to get some advice from you guys. Thanks a lot in advance!

The difference in the Sukar ouds is mostly in the woods used and the shape of the oud and soundholes. Some have more ribs than others.
No experience with AliBaba, you can try to have them hold the payment in escrow until you receive the shipment. Let us know how it goes.
