What's the process on a neck reset?
Action is a bit too high, time for a reset.
My particular oud has a lot of embellishment to deal with, so I'm not sure exactly what kind of joinery I'm dealing with.

And after a good neck reseting, following the french tradition, please apply a smooth french polish on it.

Seriously for a neck reset old Arab luthiers use the word "Dhabeh" which means
butcher or "egorger" in French.
May be Dr Oud can even invent a special oud guillotine, painless like the French used to claim, though I cannot confirm.

....... and here is a handy little tool useful for those more challenging "Dhabeh" projects - for those luthiers unfamiliar with 18th C French
'cutting edge' technology.
