A Summary Catalogue of the Turkish Makams
Is anyone familiar with the book "A Summary Catalogue of the Turkish Makams" by Eugenia Popescu-Judetz (2010)? I couldn't find any sample pages
online, so was interested to know what the content is like.

I dont have the book at hand at the moment, but my impression was that it is pretty much useless. Very scholastic, dry, mainly a list of obscure
historical makams with little or no use for modern turkish music practice. I bought it together with murat aydemirs great makam book and it didnt cost
much, but imho was a totally useless acquisition. Best wishes, arto
