Once a Musician, ALWAYS a musician !!!!!

Dear friends,

For the first time today, I attended an IHAZOP workshop (with Chevron) at work that was facilitated by a dear friend of mine. We go WAY back (about 13 years) not as engineers, but as musicians. It was my first time to interact with Mr. Moe Hardous on a professional level.
During the break, we went to his car because he wanted to share something with me.
He was parked in front of the main entrance of the building. He introduced the Audacity software in action….

Sure enough, the CD’s in his sound system were an EXCELLENT Demo of how you can put it in action.
He grabbed his Dokah nay and started playing all kinds of music on the rhythms he was able to separate from several popular songs. It is absolutely amazing what you can do with a CD player and a simple nay nowadays.
Make a long story short, the big wig working for Chevron turned into a brilliant street performer during the lunch hour. He attracted some audience for sure.
At the end of the INADEQUATE lunch break, we returned back to what we were doing. I thanked him for the CD’s he gave me and the impressive performance that made my day.
Once a musician, ALWAYS a musician !!!!!!

Dear Hatem,
did I get it right? With this software "Audacity" you can remove certain instruments or voices of an existing recording, so you can play along with your own instrument to the remaining sound, e.g. the rhythm section of that tune in your example?
