Periklis Tsoukalas Oud seminar in Thessaloniki - Greece
Periklis Tsoukalas will be giving another Oud seminar in Greece - Thessaloniki 27 May - 1 June.
The seminar will be focusing in the oud today and the players needs and not only to some specific music genre as it usually happen in these kind of
seminars, so there will be:
-Periklis Tsoukalas speech and video projection on oud history and the using of construction materials
-Exercises
-Eastern Mediterranean Ottoman classical, folk traditional repertiore
-Modern jazz, rock repertoire from old, new and Periklis Tsoukalas compositions
-Makam theory & analysis in combination with Byzantine and European music
-Rhythmology
-Electric oud playing approach, preamplifiers, amplifiers, filters and effects
-Oud concert with students participation at the end
20 hours (4 per day)
60 euro participation cost for all seminar

I very much like your oud playing, sounds like a fabulous workshop. I can't make it (on holiday) but would if I could - if you could post any vids on
You tube etc that would be wonderful.
Can I sign up anywhere for updates on other workshops etc ?
