The first Song from Jaffa Road's most recent Album "Where The Light Gets In" has been nominated for World Beat Song of the Year in
the Independent Music Awards.
It did not win the award based on the judges choice, but if you vote, you could help us win the fan choice portion of the award.
This song which features oud has been doing well, it is the first track on its album which was nominated for a 2013 Juno Award (kind
of like the Grammy's for Canada), won the Songs from the heart contest at Folk Music Ontario, and has appeared on two compilation CDs including the
2013 Sephardic Music Festival compilation.
The lyrics for the song are a 6 word Hebrew chant which translates (more or less) to Please Heal Her. Ana El Na Refah Na La.

email) so please vote for us, as the winner gets a huge marketing and PR campaign from the Indies.
