Wolfgand Fruh ouds?
Hello everyone,
Does anyone here own a oud made by Wolfgang Fruh?
I've seen the one owned by Adel Salameh on youtube and was wondering if anyone else has these ouds and could share pics and sound with us. I've
checked out his website but there is only one picture.
Thanks

The only thing I know is that Wolfgang makes only one oud model, it's a "copy" of an old Nahat he owns. The ouds he makes are known be good
instruments. But I don't have much more information.

Right !
A few years ago the waiting list was about 2 years. The sound I heard from his standard model was clean and precise but not so deep, good workmanship
and good materials, I'd like one, one day maybe ($$$)... Hope it helps a little.

Dear friends...
I would like to say something about Wolfgang ouds...he is a very fine and clean maker.... very precise in his work... he made only one copy in his
life... Abdo nahat and his son, the oud which he has sold to the museum in Paris....
For the last 20 years he has been making this model...he managed over the years to produce the perfect instrument...
I invite all oud makers and players to go and play the oud which he made for my student Nicolas in Paris...I believe we all can learn a lot from this
Wolfgang...
this man took the oud making to another level both in understanding the ethic of the sound of the Arab oud and the perfect workmanship...
I have used his instrument for the last 6 years and I find it very difficult to replace it with another instrument on stage...
the waiting list is at least 2 years and you will be lucky to got your oud in 2 years and the price is 3.500 Euros without VAT ... IT'S WORTH IT...
Good luck,
Adel

Wow a 2 yr waiting list. I imagine that long lead time is driven by his lute customers.
This is a great oud, i agree about the sound; very arabic.
