Interesting pieces.
The Nim Sakil Persian piece is simple but very catchy and leads itself well to embellishments of diverse kinds, as they all do; tremolos, hammer ons,
falling notes (nay) etc.
I like how the old pieces often stick to the scale of the maqam but are still interesting, very melodic, and interesting rhythmically too.
