Oud lessons with Ghassan el Youssef: feedback
Hello,
after 3 months of lessons with Ghassan El Youssef, I thought it would be time to make a feedback about... Moreover I'm particulary happy form his
teaching.
I first get in touch with him reading Dina's message on mikeouds board:

So really glad to meet with Ghassan. In any point, I mean he made me practice in a lot of fields: precision of playing, technics, understanding of
maqam and even composition (and there are not so many people able to teach you that in an accessible manner !). The lessons has not been rigid, I mean
he really give me clues to practice, listen on my own and stimulate creativity. Ghassan really make all to meet and know better the student in front
of him, and it's great.

Hi. I am a new member although I have been reading the forum for a long time.
I have also been studying with Ghassan for over two months and benefitting greatly from the lessons. I've been playing the oud for many years but
never had the opportunity to study with a master such as Ghassan. With the help of the lessons I have been able to start to develop a solid technique
for both left and right hands that greatly improves the speed and accuracy of my playing. Ghassan provides the student with warm-up exercises that
build ones connection with the oud. With Ghassan's guidance combined with hours and hours of practice on my part, I'm confident that I will be able to
achieve the level of proficiency that I have been seeking all of these years.
