I am begining to work in a trio (oud+piano+double bass).
I am wondering what would be a good mic for the oud on stage in that configuration, it's to say a pretty "quiet" band.
A sound engineer gave me the advice to buy an "OKTAVA MK-012" (in hypercardioid) ? Any comment or suggestion ?
He also told me that he used to work a lot with the "Neumann KM 184" but he finds it too agressive and prefers the OKTAVA.
