Sukar oud - what do you think?

Friend of mine is selling, what's your opinion? Nice deep tone, slight buzzing on the open D string that could be fixed by adjusting the nut, and some small cracks near the sound hole. I can maybe upload a video soon.

If you are after a mellower sound it might be nice ... the trebles aren't too brilliant in Sukar ouds I have heard ...

Sukkar makes the soundboard a lot thicker than everyone else, and in return doesn't use a brace in front of the bridge. This recipe will always give you a lot of resonance, but will result in a "boomy"sound. Great a small room, but not great for stage as it will be very muddy.
