Gamil Georges oud at university
Was surprised to see this in the music department. I think this thing needs new strings though, they sounded like they hadn't been changed in quite a
while.
Anyway, here are some photos. Can anyone give any more information about it?
If you want to know how it sounds, here's a quick idea.

this oud was made by Ageeb Nassif, who made ouds for the beit el oud in Cairo according to Nasser Shamma's design.
this is what is written inside the oud label.
that other gameel georges label may be from the bag??? who knows but thats a typical student oud for the beit el oud students.

I'm relieved to hear you say that. The oud, though sturdy, did not seem to be that well made. So the case does not relate to the oud? Strange. There
are another three ouds. I will check them out.

Wow, definitely a "student" oud then. I hadn't unearthed a gem then!
