Good gigbag for a oud ?
Hi everyone,
I was looking to buy a good gigbag for my oud and besides the "rockbag" one, I couldn't find anything... Do you have any website where I can buy one
and be sure of its build (not a cheap one...).
I live in France so an english website or deutsch will e perfect but if you have an american or other, it will be good too (just a safe website where
I'll be sure sure to receive my gigbag !)
Thanks a lot for your help, I don't know where to search...

Those cases are slightly small and won't fit some Arabic ouds. They should fit most Turkish-sized ouds. I have a few students who have gotten them
and the quality is fairly poor, they tend to fall apart. Perhaps they have improved the quality, I don't know. The ones I saw were from about 2
years ago.

Thanks for the feedback Brian ! I have an iraqi style oud (bought in cairo by a professional player and friend of mine). It's not very large but i
have no comparaison possible between an arabic and turkish one...
Have you any idea where i can find a good one ?

Unfortunately, it is a challenge. I don't have any good recommendations.

Tu peux demander à ömer le prix de ses gigbag, ça à l'air costaud.

Hello Andi,
may be you should consider contacting Yannis Seremetis in Greece....I have few of his hard cases and they are very good quality... also he does make
soft cases too.

Hi Adel , thanks a lot for your link !
I already bought one from him : https://www.facebook.com/oudstrings
I'll keep everyone posted if the quality is good or not.
And I keep Yannis Seremetis if I need a hard case in the future !

I just bought a good gigbag from https://www.facebook.com/oudstrings !
He lives in turkey and he's responsive (available ?) for questions about his products (he sells risha and strings too but I haven't tried yet).
The gigbag is well padded and seems to be good for the price (120$).
Here's some pictures soon with my oud inside (My model can fit big oud as smaller ones like mine).
I'll seee if the bag will endured my travel and if I can keep it long enough ! But I'm happy !

Those ones that Jamil used to sell were fantastic. Any more of those in the works for the future Brian?

Apparently jameel stopped selling his good gifbag, that's why i went on a crusade to have a good one. It's harder than it looks...
