Hi folks,
What does the number following VNG stand for? is it mm?
The dd course for the top set is VNG 5100 and if mm is the answer here, 0.51 mm seems a bit thin to me for a dd string.
Thanks

VNG are wound strings from my recollection. The PVF strings are marked.

Thanks Brian. These (VGN) are wound indeed but the gauge seems a bit low if the numbers following VGN are in mm.

From what I can recall, they are just numbers, the way that pyramid lute are just numbers. They’re not gauges. Gauge doesn’t mean all that much
with wound strings anyway, and is often misleading.
