Al Kindi Ensemble - Suite Instrumentale (Bayati family)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xBS0G-DrMs&list=PLDA8865C97A3EB...

Suite Instrumentale (Bayati family): Nawakht Hindi 16/4, Aqsaq 9/8, Masmoudi Saghir 4/4, Yuruk Samai 6/8.

I have always loved this instrumental suite.
Does anyone have any notations for any of these?
Maybe a good transcription project..

Just today I was listening to the Hijaz suite on disc 2 of this set and wondering the same thing.

Incredible timing!

I was thinking that some may likely be instrumental versions of Syrian songs.
Unfortunate that there is not any information about these pieces in the CD notes.

I guess we were tuned into the same wavelength.
The Hijaz mouashshah in 17/8 time is particularly nice.
"Sall fi na al lahdha".
