Oud prices in Morocco?
I will be travelling to Morocco next month, probably for a week we'll travel around cities near Casablanca. Does anyone know the standart-made oud
prices (not tourist gifts) and the luthier ones prices? In which cities I have a better chance at finding a good quality for low price?

Luthier "Khalid Belhaiba" is one of the best in Casablanca if not the best in Moroco, he made Said Charibi's ouds .... I know his prices range from
$400-$1200
You can contact him through facebooked ...

Belhaiba Ouds are amazing but you have to wait between 6 months to a year, there are some music shops in old Medina, in Casablanca they sell not bad
ouds for good price.

I really cant say how much I could pay until I travel to Morocco and divide some money for oud . However, I wont have much time and money for luthier
made ouds, so I will be looking for decent standart ones. I hear they make good ones in Essouair, do you folks know anything about that?

I doubt Essaouira will have any decent ouds for sale, as they famous of a special instrument called (Ganbri) so you will have bigger chances if you
visit Casablanca or Rabat, let me know if you need more help, good luck.

Hey. Ive decided not to visit essoauira , its too far from casablanca and we'll mostly visit northern parts. Casablanca,rabat,fez tangiers or
marrakesh. Which one you think would be better choice for decent quality for low price?

hi ,
i think you are looking for low price it mean it's not a good quality . so let me explain for you :
khaled belhaiba is my friend but he never make a cheap oud .
and all professionals oud makers in Morroco are located in casablanca : majid attik , abdlatif lagrini.. ahmed mourjani .... etc
so if you are looking for cheap oud you can buy it any where .
there is same oud chop in centre casablanca.
