AVAREZ Oud AS 700 Strings
Hello Maestros!!!
I just received this set of strings with my Amazon purchased Turkish Style Oud.
It comes with extra strings, as I mentioned in the subject there are an "Avarez Oud AS 700"
strings with the following description on package (Image attached).
1 SOL - 2 RE - 3 LA - 4 MI - 5 RE - 6 LA
When I asked the seller after my review in Oud Cafe (Tuning Topic) I found this:
6 5 4 3 2 1 (capital letter = lower/bass note)
--------------------------
E A B e a d
C# F# B e a d
B F# B e a d
D A B e a d
D G B e a d
And I shared with him.
He told me the following:
"This tuning is in Turkish system. don't tuning like this.
Tuning is this:
D G B e a d
or
E A B e a d"
If the Avarez strings say this:
A D E a d g (is not too much high?)
can the strings brake the bridge or compromise pegbox?
Is not too much pressure?
Maestros, your help, please.

Most likely they are using the written Turkish names. In written music, Turkish music is a fourth higher than it sounds, so g'=d', d'=a, a=e, e=B,
D=G, A=E
In other words, the strings are for EABead' tuning.

Thank you again Brian Prunka.
So we have no problem with this set of strings.
I will put on it as soon as I get my oud back from my luthier's workshop.
For other side, reading about the distance from nut to bridge, I'm consider test (later) arabic set of strings.
Best Regards.
