Sebastian Stenzel Oud for sale
Hello, I'm selling the Oud that was introduced by me in the post:
http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=16363#pid11...
There, in the first post, you will find also a link to the pictures of the oud.
Or just look here:
Sebastian Stenzel Oud
I'm selling it, because I'm not able to switch between my 60cm 7-course Stenzel oud and this one, which is 57,5cm 6-course.
I was so enchanted by the beauty of this instrument that I bought it, but in the end I'm playing more the 7-course and it would be a shame for this
oud not to be played and heard.
It has been charcterized as an extremely well made and well sounding oud by two famous players which I don't want to quote here by name because I
don't want to use their names.
It, is one of the most exquisit contemporary instruments. I can send a link to sound samples on request. Also I can provide full resolution pics if
needed. The oud can be tried in Germany, near Freiburg.
The oud is fitted with wonderfully smooth working Wittner geared pegs, Pyramid custom lute strings. I can give a leather bag along with it.
The price is 3.500 Euro
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
best wishes
Robert

Sorry, no videos... I'm not such a great player. But I could make one some time. I have sound samples played by great players. But I have to ask them
first if I may use them for demonstration purpose...
Hope the oud is not sold before I get ready with that stuff

Hi rojaros!
You don't have to be a grate player.. you don't have to be a oud player at all actually to show the oud
You can take a video where you play the open strings, slowly , one ofter one. A couple of times.
And then maybe play a scale, slow and strong..
that would give a good idea of the oud
Hope this helps!
Good luck
The wood might be dead, but the oud is alive.

Finally I have got a wonderful oud player to shortly record a few bars ... as he usually plays an oud with larger scale length, he wasn't happy with
his stand up playing, but he consented I could give the link to interested people potentially buying the oud without naming him, so I keep it so and
ask you sincerely not to distribute this recording but only use it to for your private assessment.
If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll send you the link to listen ...
best wishes

What is too complicated? To send a PM and to stick with the request not to spread this video publicly?
You must live in a very comfortable world... never mind, this was meant for people who are really interested in a marvellous instrument.

I now have also a private test recording by Mustafa Said, who commented very positively on this oud. If you are interested to listen, please send me a
PM and I'll send you a link. Again, this video is not to be distributed publicly.

Hello
it is very normal I think. I heard many great players of this range who don't like to have multiplication of videos of themselves being on YouTube and
this kind of stuff.
Both, Sebastian Stenzel and Mustafa Said, are outstanding artists in their field. I'm sure it is a great instrument ! Best of luck for the sale

Many thanks, Suz_I_Dil. I have to respect the wishes of my friend and great artist Mustafa Said and also of the other player. I think it's already
very generous they are allowing me to use these rather haphazard pieces of recording that weren't even taken for any purpose other than them trying
for the first time this oud.
I'm positively sure this oud will find it's proper owner. And it is an instrument for a player, not for a collector, because Sebastian Stenzels' Name
is not like Nahat (yet) in the world of oud collectors. Anybody taking this oud into his hands and playing it will see that in some years from now it
well may be...
Personally I'm not in a hurry, I just feel responsible to know this oud played by a good player and not sitting as a collectors' item in a shelf and
dusting.
best wishes
Robert
