Whats the difference between Apprentice Ouds and Maurice Ouds from Maurice's shop.

I am a beginner so i will likely be buying one of his Apprentice ones but i just want to know the difference.

I was looking into these as well. The apprentice ouds are built by Maurice's apprentices under supervision by Maurice in his shop. Maurice Shehata's ouds are built by Maurice.

My understanding is the Maurice ouds are higher quality and better sound, more like professional level oud as you can see from the prices. However, I bought an apprentice oud one year ago and the oud still in great shape without any issues.
