Mohamed Gaffer Egyptian Oud
Hi everybody,
I'm very glad to be part of Mike's Oud forum community. I'm a French beginner oud player, and I really love this instrument. I specially play other
fretted instruments (guitar, Bouzouki, arabic Mandola etc...), and I have the opportunity to buy a wonderful Mohamed Gaffer Oud, made of nice indian
rosewood and cedar. Question: does anybody have an idea of who is Mohamed Gaffer in Egypt?
It has a beautiful sound, and is very sober. I have no idea of how much it's worth, and if I should rather go to Egypt and buy one there for the same
budget... (this Oud is sold 850 Euros, around 900 $). But the price can be bargained.
