Fretting An Old Aoud
Hello there,
I want to fret my oud but do not want to draw permanent lines with a marker or so. Is there an other way?
Thanks

You can use black electrical tape or transparent tape strips on the fretboard. Another way is to put the strips on the back of the fretboard (the
neck), to mark the position of your thumb.

avoid the black electric tape, it leaves behind the adhesive and it's annoying and difficult to remove. Try masking tape of any color. Will not leave
adhesive behind.
