Nahat Bros 1890 :)
Dear all,
I'd like to share with you pictures of my Nahat Brothers (made in 1890). It really took a long while to revive this piece of history back to life
again. Quite happy with the final outcome
Shall record on it sometime soon.
All my best,

Great find and good job indeed friend
Mabrouk Ya Sahbi. You deserve such a beauty, no matter how it sounds like, or doesn't.
The label seems quite authentic to me. The numbering fits into the list.
The attached previous and following labels we've detected indicate that Nahat Bro. Luthiery produced an average of 50 (+-) ouds a year: between 1 Mar.
1, 1889, and Aug. 27, 1890 (18 months) 73 ouds, while between Aug. 27, 1890, and Feb. 27, 1892 (18 months) they built 78 ouds.
Abdo maintained the same average of one oud a week till he reached over 2500 in 1930, half a century since they started back in 1880.
Shall be waiting for a pure, direct sound sample.
Yours indeed

Prolific brothers?
This is a label of a Nahat brothers oud kept at the Cairo Museum of Arts, showing the same year (within about 3 weeks period !) of my oud !
Wonder if the late Roufan and Abdo were that prolific in their oud production at that time. Or, they had scheduled work sessions (parts, assembly, and
finishing), so labels would be put to several ouds being finished within a short period of time (relatively speaking).
