Simon Shaheen scores
Hello
i think to remember, but can be totally wrong, that when when i began the oud years ago we could found scores for pieces from Simon Shaheen on forums
like here.
Does someone think of a link where i can find scores for works from him or has any that are allowed to be shared ?
Best regards

I'd assume scores for a lot of his stuff exist given his role at Berklee but I haven't had much luck finding them online or contacting him to get
them. I was interested in some of the Blue Flame scores. Those tunes aren't too difficult to pick out by ear but it's always nice to have something
to reference if you get stuck.

The only score of a Simon Shaheen composition generally available that I know of is that of "Al Qantara" in the advanced Tunisian ISM Oud book: http://www.hamdi-makhlouf.com/mcw/free-courses/oud/oud.html (page 46 of the PDF file)

thanks all for the help !
I finally found the piece concerned
i was pretty sure it was a piece from blue flame album...and it is Simon Shaheen rendition of the samay nahawand from Cinucen Tanrikorur.
The record i had from youtube was only an extract that's why it made things confused in my mind. I had the teslim in mind but was seeking for a long
and complex piece, didnt made the connection at first !
Best regards

LOL... Didn't imagine you meant THAT piece. But, prompted by your inquiry, I've added Simon's score of that piece to my "Turkish Music for Non-Turks"
Facebook page. For those of you on FB, it's available here: https://www.facebook.com/turkishmusicfornonturks/photos/a.4110907757...
