How am I doing?
Here is a short clip of me playing the Armenian folk song, "Yerevan Bagh em arel" in 10/8 rhythm.
I'm still a newbie at the oud (I've been seriously dedicating myself to it for less than a year), but tell me how you like it. I know my technique
needs work as far as intonation is concerned, and I'm definitely too tense when I play.
Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Very nice! You sound like John Bilezikjian
Try and work on getting those left hand fingers closer to the strings when they're not playing, at the moment you're making huge movements which are
tiring and will slow you down. Maybe practice playing open strings with your fingers curled over the strings, rather than opened out.
Good stuff, keep it coming!

Wow....John Bilezikjian...that's a huge complement, he was a major reason why I got into the oud!
I never even considered the finger spacing. That would probably help, as speed is something I need to work on.
Thanks!
