Guitar tuning with an oud
I was wondering if anyone knew the typical tuning guitars would have when playing with an oud.
I'm specifically thinking of an Armenian Kef style band here (think Harry Minassian), so the oud tuning would be EAbead.
Thanks!

I can share you my old video showing how to tune a guitar like an oud. I invite you to download the summary by the link below the video, many tunings

My impression is that the guitar in a Kef band is tuned standard (EADGE). The guitar is playing standard minor and major chords, mostly in closed
positions. You can see from the left hand of the guitarists in youtube videos (including Kenneth Kalagian playing guitar with with Harry Minassian)
that these are familiar guitar chords. These positions would sound wrong if the guitar was tuned another way.

Thanks! I'm not a guitar player, so that's probably why I didn't pick up on that.
