Title of this song? (Turkish)
Would anyone be able to give me the title/lyrics to this song Harry Minassian plays? It begins about 4:40 into the video.
This song is incredibly familiar to me, I swear I've heard this song in Armenian before. Maybe someone wrote an Armenian version, or that I was so
young when I heard the Armenian and Turkish blended together.

It's reminiscent, but I can't think of the name or whether there is really an Armenian version of the song.
If someone can make out the initial words of the song in Turkish that will tell us what the song is called because a great majority of the Turkish
songs of this nature are discoverable on the internet.

Yeah, it's super familiar. All I can find is Harry Bedrossian doing this song around halfway though this video.

I'm not familiar enough with the Turkish language to piece this together by ear. The melody is very catchy though....

I messaged a Turkish friend via Facebook, sending links to both videos. I consider him VERY knowledgable. We'll see what he knows.

My Turkish friend came through: The song is called "Yağdır Mevlam Su"
Here is one rendition he suggested:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkS1sHz9Ap8
Lyrics & score here: https://www.yedinota.com/beste/yagdir-mevlam-su-catlayan-dudaklara-2...
Peace out,

Thank you so much!!!
The rendition is much more traditional sounding. Armo-American Kef singers seem to iron out the quarter tones a lot more (probably to fit in with
guitar chords). Having a hard time finding a good translation. Must be an older song, Zeki Muren does a rendition of it.

Yeah...the LyricsTranslate.com English translation seems pretty Babelized. Maybe this one, with a bit of editing? https://lyricstranslate.com/en/yagdir-mevlam-su-let-it-rain-god.html

Is Harry singing in Armenian or Turkish? And does anyone know if there's another Armenian language version of the song somewhere?
The melody is so beautiful!

He's singing in Turkish here. I've only seen Harry Minassian through live performances uploaded onto YouTube. His Lps are *extremely* hard to find and
I believe have never been transferred to CD or to any streaming service. I was a little too young to see him perform live. He sang predominantly in
Turkish. Much of that generation of Armenian-Americans knew Turkish just as well (if not better) than Armenian. While he did sing in Armenian, I've
never heard him do it.
And I agree, the melody is very nice, though I don't think there's an Armenian language version of this song.
