52 years old, high quality restored Ali Khalifa oud for sale - sold
52 years old oud for sale!
I have restored an Ali Khalifa oud from 1969 and it is now up for sale. It was badly damaged earlier, but is now in excellent condition. Perhaps even
better than before! Its sound is deep because of the old wood. It needs light strings for the old soundboard.
I have repaired the following:
- new varnish (nitro cellulose on back and neck, shellac on soundboard for protection and strenght)
- new high quality ebony pegs (the original ones were bad quality)
- neck adjusted (3 mm height now)
- new nut in bone
- new pickguard in wood (the old was in plastic and in bad condition)
- new strings, Aquila red series (CC)
The string lenght is 61,5 and neck lenght 20,5. It comes with a softcase and a horn risha to experience the most of the sound.
The price: €500 + shipping. It is now in Sweden (EU) but can be shipped worldwide.The price has been lowered to €500.
It is now sold.
