Help: Proper string height for Tar

(Apologies for off-topic post. I'm have a hard time getting an answer to this question and am hoping someone here has some experience with the tar.)

I recently bought a tar from an online store in Turkey. I like the instrument, but the action is high, which makes it challenging to play. I'm new to the tar and I don't know if this is normal and I need to adapt to it, or if I need to lower the string height.

Here are the "rough" measurements (fretboard to string):

1st fret: 3.17mm
7th-16th fret: ~6.35mm

Questions:

Is this string height normal for the tar?

If not, what is the proper height and what's the right way to lower the action?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the help.

Hi Kom,

I don't play the Tar but have friends who can guide you. Please pm me your Email address and I'll put you in touch. From what I read the action at end of fretboard should not exceed 5mm and if it does, skin needs adjustments.

Hope this helps
