Mic and Software?
Hi - I am a beginner, and I need something better than my phone to record myself when I practice. I also sometimes come up with humble riffs that I
would like record and save for the future. Can you recommend an affordable mic? Also, is there a free or affordable software that you recommend in
case I want to record myself play my own darbuka Iqaa, then playing my Oud over it, or even edit my recordings later on. I have zero experience with
this. Thanks in advance!

Hey,
You can buy a secondhand interface and a condenser mic on FB marketplace for less than $100. I use Audacity for recording and editing, it's a
relatively basic software and free. Once you have this setup, then you can invest in more expensive mics and software if needed but this basic setup
should support all your needs for some time.
