In the case is good, but keep the case out of hot spots like direct sun, heaters and car trunks. If your oud was built with synthetic glues, they can melt at 135 degrees, and a car trunk can reach up to 160 degrees. Humidity can also affect the glue joint integrity by swelling the wood with extra moisture. Keep a humidifier in the case or collect some silica bags from your sneaker boxes and put them in the case somewhere, but not in contact with the oud.
