I'm very skeptical to this particular oud's authenticity. Fawzy have told me that his ouds are being copied and this one looks very much as a fake.
Fawzy's ouds looks very different and not least the sound.
The bowl on this oud is not made of ¨sisam¨. Fawzy use dyed sisam on his bashirs.
Btw, do you have a photo of the label?

as a matter of fact i do......i also have a letter from the munir bashir foundation. by dr.saad bashir.ill post soon....hey ronny is there any way you
can be sure about this. because if you are sure that its fake then i just got ripped off. but i highly doubt it. i personally spoke to mr.bashir.

Sagr, several parts on this oud is not typical for Fawzy: pegbox,pegs,soundholes,armrest, etc. The wood is also not the one you mentioned and what
Fawzy use. It seems that the oud comes without any label and that is also negative. The Fawzy bashir have a very unique sound and this oud is far from
that.
I don't know wheter Saad Bashir is knowledgeable in Fawzys work, but I know that Fawzy and Bashir had not a good relation.
