Hey,
Are you talking about a preamp? There are a bunch of good amplifiers and preamplifiers. A preamp is used to make the your instrument's signal
stronger/clearer before it gets to the amlifier.
Some pickups (I think this is what you mean by mics) have preamps designed for them. If you have a Fishman pickup on your oud, probably one of the
Fishman preamps is best for you.
Some great amplifiers are the SWR California Blonde or SWR Strawberry Blonde, the Fishman Loudbox, AER amps, and some others. Generally acoustic amps
are best for acoustic instruments like oud.
