Arabic Music Retreat

Hello fellow oudists,

This year, I've finally decided to attend Simon Shaheen's Arabic Music Retreat in MA. I was just wondering who else from the forum was planning on attending.

Hope to see all you there!

Have a great time, Sam. I highly suggest you take along a minidisc recorder, and even a camcorder to record the lessons and some of the performances by the instructors. From what I've heard there are some fantastic moments. We all expect to get some ear candy when you return. :bounce:

Sam, that's great. you will be really glad you went. Jameel's right, bring along a recorder. If you don't, you'll regret it . . . there's so much great stuff that happens there. I'm going to try to make it this year, but i'm not sure if it's going to work out.

Jameel and Brian, thanks for your wise advice. I hope to see both of you there.

Any advice or recomendations on an Mini Disc Recorder? I have an Ipod that can record with an extra attachement, but I think the quality is flaky from what I hear.
