Mike featured this oudist on the MP3 page a while back. He had no information about him.

I have happened on a little tidbit. On the Ziad Rahbani album "Bil Afrah" of the two oud players (George Abyad is the other), one is Said Salam. He plays a short taqasim on the album (which I'll post later) and it is defintely the same person as Mike posted. This album was recorded in 1977. Apparently he is from Lebanon.

I just got the CD in the mail yesterday Jameelo! :airguitar: I'm just listening to it now. Sounds real nice. I like the guys saying "Allah" and "Ya Habibi" in the background. :) Thanks again Oudman and Sam for the recommend.
