Oud Live performances photos
I do not know whether this is a good idea or it have already been done on previous topics but it may be interesting to post here photos of oud players
in live performances taken by us or picked up here and there during our web crawlings.
We can add small comments on whatever detail whic hit us.
For example here you can see Samir and Adnan Joubran, playing ouds made by brother Wissam Joubran, first arab "maestro" luthier licensed by italian
Cremona School of Luthiers (Cremona=stradivarius).
I like the very flamenco attitude of Samir

Hi Zalzal,
Thanks for sharing,
Do you have any clips for these performers?
How about some info about luthier Wissam Joubran? Does he have a webpage?
Have a great day,
Hatem

Hatem Afandi, On this link you can hera the full cd Tamaas Samir and Wissam.
http://www.radioceros.com/ondemandmdm/joubran/samirjoubran.htm
On previous thrad posted here you have more infos on trio Joubran.
http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=3023
I believe Wissam has not web page yet. They are the sons of famous Nazareth luthier Elias Joubran.
Wissam is touring now a lot with the Trio Joubran and i believe he has no time to open a shop. They are based in Paris for the moment and it is also
difficult to find a cheap rent...So wait and see. I am sure Wissam will create
real wonderful ouds once he is installed. His ouds will be top of the top like nahat- stradivarius altogether, i am totally sure...

Salam ya Zalzal,
Thanks for the information.
Have you ever tried any of their ouds?
If so, can you post pics and/or mp3 files?
Best Regards,
Hatem

Concert Nassir Shamma oud and Carlos Pinana Flamenco guitarris last may 2005 in Murcia. Making oud the husband of the guitar......
(Hatem Afandi i have never tried any of Wissam's ouds. Trio Joubran only plays ouds made by Wissam. I have heard their ouds quite closely and it
sounds marvelous. Did you know that their rishas are made with the plastic handcuffs put on palestinian prisoners ??.
Budget permitting i dream on having one Wissam's oud)

I have played on Wissams own Oud once for some minutes it was incredible ! Very big loud sound, extremely good action, very nicely built ! I also
visited him in Cremona while he studied there once ( thats when I found the Sukar Oud in a luthiers shop) . I know one day I will have one of his Ouds
.

Hi everyone!
Just want to correct a wrong information : Maestro Wissam Joubran is the son of the known oud maker Hatem Joubran from Nazareth (and not Elias
Joubran's son !). I heard by a friend that he will soon have a website ! By the
way, does anyone of you know how to reach him (e mail?) ...cuz I dream to buy one of his ouds...
Thanks
