hello
does anybody on here know about the oudmaker ibrahim sukar? are his ouds professional? anyone have soundfiles, pics? any sukar ouds for sale?

Adel Salameh's post on The Oud Home Page
It has a little info on the Sukar ouds, of which it says Qadri Dalal plays on them. Mike has some of those clips on the oudism page, so if you want to
hear what it sounds like, go there. I'm assuming Adel (Salameh) knows what he's talking about, considering he's a fantastic oudist (and
that he mentioned Fathi Amin, maker of my excellent oud).

Ibrahim Sukkar's oud are very nice, and very professional. My oud teacher, Issa Boulos, plays one. They have a very "crisp" sound,
and an adjustable action (there's some type of screw inside the bowl, where the body and neck meet). It plays great. When I played it, I was in
love.

I was going to get one myself, but I couldn't get in touch with Ibrahim Sukkar through e-mail, and settled for a Nazih Ghadban (another good oud
maker).

Sukkar oud
Another member of this forum, "mawoud" who happens to be my good friend Nader had a very nice Sukkar oud for sale not too long ago, and he
can provide you with pictures, etc.
Mawoud had some posts on the matter last September, please look it up under the thread "I Need 2 buy OUD".

I agree. I'm also a student of Issa's and his Sukkar oud is very nice. Very easy to play, with a big sound.

I'm going to Lebanon in 2 days and will be back after 2 weeks. I will bring back with one of the best oud Ibrahim Sukar has ever made. He told me
himself that this is one of my best ouds. It is professional ofcourse and has ebony pegs. If anyone is interested in buying it I'm offering for
sale for $750 including the soft case.If you want a hard case with it just add a $100 which will make a total of $850. Please e-mail me if you have
any question and once I get the oud I will take some pictures and send them to whomever interested.
I know Ibrahim Sukar who is a very nice and honest person and he wouldn't lie to me if he tells me that the oud is one of the best he ever made.
