Practice without... noise
Good morning, good evening everybody,
I know I am not alone in that situation : practice and study oud (or whatever instrument) is not pleasant for the people who live in the same
house.
Oh no, not your oud again !
You're playing always the same tune!
What are your solutions ?
With an open rosette, it is possible to fill the oud with a pillow to avoid resonance.
It's not possible with mine.
Another possibility is an electric oud.
Maybe one day. But it is rather expensive.
I found this :
http://www.theodorakis.name/uk/outia.html
He is a greek oudmaker.
See the "oud practice".
Someone knows that ?

Theodorakis ouds
Tasos Theodorakis is a fine craftsman and a great person.
I don't have first-hand knowledge of the "silent practice" ouds, but his other ouds are great.
You can deal with him with confidence.
Good luck
