New oud Foad Jihad
Here is the newest addition to my family of Ouds. Iam verry Thankfull to Mr.Steven Bayne for his professionalism and incredible work ethics.
Here are the pictures of this new baby. There are small marks of abuse that can be seen on this oud from the orignal owner. So mr. Saad Al-Tayyar will
be performing some work on this wonderfull peice in the summer.

Hey Samir,
If your oud sounds anything like Lee Varis' Fouad Jihad oud, then you are one lucky dude! I will soon have video of Afif and TP21 playing Lee's Fouad
Jihad oud. It is an amazing instrument. You are lucky to own one bud.

Hey Samir,
Congratulations on the new oud. It looks great. This was the oud that was on ebay a few weeks backs isn't it? I almost bid on it myself.

Your playing blows me away, Peter. So clean and soulful. The video is great, Mike. You seem to use each finger equally Peter, which is something I
just haven't achieved yet. The speed and accuracy you get is just an amazing thing to watch, and hear.

Oh btw mike, the old oud sounds awesome. From what i've gathered so far from listening to tons and tons of recordings, it seems that the sound of an
aged oud is far superior to new ones (or it could be that I only hear to good ones).

I have a question to Lee about his foad oud... How much better did the sound become after adding those feet to the brige. I love the sound of the foad
exept right now its a bit stuffy at the high treble notes did it help that?

Congratulations, i loved your oud. it seem that it is really good oud. I am windering made of which kind of wood? is it Rose ?
Anyway, my advice, try pyramids strings, they are really good for high tuning.

Thanks for those videos Mike... its amazing how good the oud sounds even in such a bad acoustic environment - a lot of background noise and it was
raining like crazy that night!
