Syrian oud pictures
I love the look of the Mahran oud that Nazih Ghadban posted. In fact I really like the way most Syrian ouds look and would love to see some photos of
more ouds by Mahran and other Syrian builders. I have seen the Nahat photos that are on line and pictures of the Kalifa (sp?) ouds are quite common.
Would anyone be willing to post some pictures of other older Syrian ouds?
Cordially,
Roy

I don't think that the Mahran was Syrian, although I could be wrong. It looks like he sold it in 2004

Thanks for the suggestion Palestine48. I know that those are highly regarded oud builders. For me though, I really like the look of the older style of
Syrian ouds. I've always wanted to own one. A couple of years ago I missed one on ebay that was up for sale. It was made in Syria during the 1960's
(not really old) by someone who was not famous. It looked like a really well-built oud though, and the appearance was beautiful. Maybe I just like the
look of any older oud that is well made.
Cheers,
Roy
