I thought the same thing Greg but I emailed them and they said their ouds are made in a factory. They said they weren't related to Haluk. Some of their ouds look exactly like his though so I don't know

ive spoke to haluk about is ouds, there a great deal..but then i saw these which struck me as reasonable..i'm looking for simple look nothing flashy, ironically the basic model above appeals to me look wise, but your know better then me that means little sound wise..andy

Buying an instrument online is always a gamble.
You can improve the odds by doing what you are doing in asking on forums like these.

I guess it would be true to say that Mike's Forums would be the best source of information on current oud makers, because there are more players here than you would find on any other forum.

Click on the search button and see if you can find any information on "Anatolia Store". Do the same for "Haluk" or "Nile Shop" or "Samir Azar" or ...........

The rosettes on the Anatolia Store oud are the same as Haluk uses on his learner ouds. But that doesn't mean a lot because, at this end of the market, it is common for oud makers to use third-party rosettes.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Greg
