Well, not at the moment. I'm just too busy to keep it going right now. My job has been more demanding the past year, and it's tough to get the risha
orders out each week. That's why I'm looking for someone to take it over.

I have shipped all of your orders everyone. Please let us know how you like them.
I've had mine on for a few days now, and they are just fantastic. These are hands down the best set of strings I've tried. The tension is excellent,
the feel is very nice (easy to play), and the copper color even looks kinda cool! They nylguts ring out like no other string I've tried, and the
wounds have an incredible growl reminiscent of George Michel or Farid's oud. I know some of you might think I'm pushing these to make some money
(well, I'll admit I wouldn't mind if I sold a few!), but I'm being completely honest here. I really like these strings, and I wouldn't sell them if I
didn't like them.

question
I know this could a somewhat silly question, but traditionally, the bottom C is a single string, the thing is, my oud is originally for FADgcf, and
thus accomodates 12 strings.
I am thinking of going back to traditional tuning, in which case, would it be advisable to have two bottom C's? (double course instead of single
string)

I must seek forgiveness if I can only look beyond the strings.
This oud face is a beauty, Jameel.

Hi oistrach13
I think that there is a no problem if you order <Type 1(low courses CF)> and
<add light tension ff nylgut pair>.
If it is this combination, you might not have the necessity for changing tuning (FADgcf).

yes, then I could keep the tuning as it is, but you see, I actually want to change it, and I was wondering if it would be advisable to have a double C
at the bottom, considering my oud can hold it.

You can use a double CC course, but not two of the single C that's part of the low tension set. You'd have to use two thinner gauge strings. I believe
Aquila has this figured out. Personally, I don't really see the reason for a double C course. This is a drone string, and I think works better as a
single. Furthermore, if I were to tune DG for the low courses, I'd buy the CF pair and tune up. For these two a bit higher tension is not much of an
issue. And when you want to tune back to CF, the tension won't be too low. This is how pros like Simon Shaheen do it when they are playing maqamat
that suit it.

thanks for the reply, I'll probably go with your advice.
my concern was getting the strongest bass sound possible from my oud, which has some lovely warm bass, but unfortunately, it's a bit loose and weak, I
was looking to tighten it up a bit. (maybe more of an udi cinucen sort of bass)

Just want to say...
this set is hands down the best set of strings I have ever used. I just put them on... and Iam in love. I put them on my shehata and I usualy have a
hard time with strings for that instrument because I find the sound was harsh.
Those strings are something smooth.
A real pleasure to play and listen to.
Thanks Jameel.
