Haluk learner oud sample

Here's a sample of me noodling on a learner oud from Haluk. I thought since they're reccomended so much it would be nice to have some samples of what you can expect from recording them.

The strings are very old, probably almost a year or so. Not too much in the way of EQ other than cutting the highs to make up for my cheap mic.

I'm a longtime cubase user. I really like the darbuka... it could be much better but I still think it is a good practice tool.

Here's some noodling so you can compare different strings. This is a new set of the D'addario strings. I definately prefer the la bellas.

...wow jason

nice playing, nice oud
...how will it sound like with la bella or aqulia nylcut strings on it.....

...yes, the darbuka plug in could be much better but i love to have it
bevor i was using "propellerhead recycle" and "reason" for the grooves

regards
