Two Muwashahat
Here are two of my favorite muwashahat.
Two versions of Wajhak Mushriq and one for Atani Zamani.
By the way, does anybody have the video file of Wajhak Mushriq that was available from http://www.orientaltunes.com? There was an older guy playing oud and he was surrounded by a bunch of singers. They were all sitting down. TP?
Wajhak Mushriq - Firqat al Fuhais
Wajhak Mushriq - Firqat al Musiqa al Arabia
Atani Zamani - Firqat al Musiqa al Arabia

lol...i love on the video samir posted, when the old singer hold his
breath in the mawal a bit too long and the guy next to him put his hand
on his shoulder, as if he were saying: are you ok? should i get you some water?
that was one awesome mawal.
i also enjoyed watching him tapping
the rhythms on his lap, switching between rhythms on the dot...
my teacher also used to do that when we learned
the vocal part of andalusian music. Nowadays, with wizoo darabek and other
free-yet-just-as-good vst softwares, it's all automated for you.
Nate.

sorry to revive this old thread, but the file on RS you've posted is no longer available,
wazza. I'd greatly appreciate it if you have another copy and can share with us.
[the original rm file was on orientaltunes.com but it is no longer accessible]
though I have to ask: I keep finding on youtube the same Muwashahat, with the artist
name Sabri Mudallal and as much
as I can remember, this is exactly the way the person on your recording looked and sounded. are you sure it wasn't him? I couldn't find any
video/audio files of Mohamed Ayyech anywhere.
thanks again.
