Hi

Im selling my Bashir Oud made by Yaroub Mohd Fadhel from Tunisia. Everybody can view the Oud with a lil descriptions at David Parfitt website http://website.lineone.net/%7Edavid.parfitt/gallery.html (scroll down until you see my name there)

The selling price will be USD1500-feel free to drop any question regarding the Oud.

Any way you can post a few more pics (front, pegbox, things like that) and sound files? It looks like it could potentially have a nice sound to it. The style with which the back was made reminds me a little of a Sabsaby Syrian oud.

Thanks in advance

A question to Ronny or Zul

How is the strings-action of a Bashir oud if you compare it with a Turkish oud...?

Hi

The action of my Bashir Oud (Yaroub) is lower than the other 2 Turkish Oud (profesional model) that I own. Also no string damping or buzzing in any area of the fingerboard while playing.

It depends who the maker is and also the design. Zul's oud is identical Shamma's and the action is very low. Yaroub prefer his own neck/fingerboard design which make his model with the flat soundboard playable as any classical oud.
My own oud by Yaroub's father has a bent soundboard to avoid to high string action.

Best wishes
