aquila nylgut oud strings
Greetings all,
I have been trying to convince the people at Aquila strings to make oud string sets.
Thier strings are superb quality and sound like a cross between nylon and gut!
Even Better they don't charge an arm and a leg for them!!! they specialize in ukulele strings but lets convince them to make us oud
sets!!!!!!

Roy cone and aquila oud strings
Well I just thought that I would let you all Know that Roy has Sent a set of La Bella ou-80a Arabic oud strings to Italy for testing. Should not be
long Now before he sends me a set.
Have any of you tried to write him?
Next time you visit me mike I hope To have them.

I just sent him an e-mail, and hopefully he will respond. It would be great if they made some oud strings. I wonder how they would compare to the
Pyramids that I play with now. Rufi, if you get the chance to play on them before the rest of us, be sure to tell us how it goes. Maybe you can record
something with your strings now, and then with the Aquila strings when they're produced. Sounds like a good project.

P.S. I believe you mentioned knowing Wael Kakish in another post. Does that mean you live somewhere in Southern California? Wael's in Pasadena.
Hopefully you aren't too far from there.
